Boxing Instructors

Ramon Sosa

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Ramon Sosa and I’m a professional boxing trainer. I started boxing at a very young age in my native Puerto Rico. The streets in Puerto Rico were no cake walk but boxing kept me out of trouble and focused in school. My family moved to the  U.S.A. to better our lives. I continued my amateur boxing career in the states competing  in over one hundred amateur matches and winning several titles along the way. Amateur boxing taught me that discipline, hard work and determination would take me to the next level which was to become a professional boxer.  My professional boxing career started as a senior in High School. After my professional boxing career I became a professional trainer. Now after more than thirty years involved in boxing I still have the same passion I had since the first day I laced up my gloves as a kid in Puerto Rico.

Through  out the years in boxing I have met great people and travel many places, but coaching kids is one of the best  feelings I get out of boxing now. In 2004 I started a 501(c) 3 non profit organization named Young Prospects Boxing to benefit at risk kids in our communities. The program focuses on academics and mentoring for youth through an assortment of specialized programs with an emphasis on education, discipline and fitness. Many kids have benefited from these program and I hope to continue to help many more.

I am a licensed professional trainer and registered with USA Boxing Association. Olympians  as well as Professional Boxers have come through my camps. My fighters have been viewed on  worldwide networks like NBC, ESPN, SHOWTIME, HBO, and VERSUS NETWORK.

Loosing weight, toning your arms and legs, stress relief, improve cardio, improve speed, resistance,  strength and foot work are some of the benefits one can get from boxing workouts. Many  baseball, football, basketball and hockey players use Boxing as a cross training for their off season workouts. Ladies, men, and kids enjoy the benefits of a boxing workout.

Shawn Craddick

Hello, my name is Shawn Craddick. I am one of the trainers/coach at Legends Boxing Gym. I started my boxing career in the Army. I was then deployed to Germany while still on an Army Boxing team and at the same time was on an International and German Boxing team. Those three boxing clubs have three different fighting styles. During this time I was ranked 2nd in my weight class on the Army International team. Later on I went to the 2000 Eastern Olympic Trials. I didn’t quite make the team but it was a great experience. This experience and training is what I want to pass on to the youth today. That’s why I have teamed up with Coach Sosa at Legends Boxing Gym. We want to see the fighters succeed. Not just in the ring but also outside the ring in real life. Come join us as we help you lose weight, train hard, build your self confidence and have fun. We have over 45 yrs experience together that can help you make it to that elite level. Visit us at Legends Sports Complex where our motto is: “Winners Train, Losers Complain”.
